Align is a fitness studio designed to make strength training feel anything but boring. We combine intentional movement, resistance training, and high-energy music in a dark, club-inspired environment. Our classes are challenging, empowering, an designed to help you build strength confidence, and consistency.
ALIGN uses resistance-based exercises to challenge your muscles through controlled, intentional movement to overload and break down the type 1 muscle slow-twitch muscle fibers. Slow-twitch muscle fibers are fatigue-resistant, and used for activities that require endurance. By progressively increasing resistance over time on our reformer, muscles gradually become stronger. We focus on time under tension, proper form, and slow, controlled movements-- not just how many reps you can do.
No, ALIGN is not Pilates. ALIGN uses inspiration from Pilates but focuses on strength training. So what makes ALIGN different? The 6 principles of Pilates are: breath, concentration, centering, control, precision, and flow. ALIGN focuses on time under tension, meaning you are doing each exercise as slow and controlled as possible which disrupts breath work and flow.
Absolutely. You don't need to be in shape before you start. Our coaches are here to guide you through the movements, modifications, and equipment. Whether you're starting your fitness journey or getting back into a routine, ALIGN is a place to start exactly where you are!
Yes! Our Intro class is designed for every level including those who are familiar with a reformer. Since our format is different than most studios it's recommended for everyone to start with an Intro class. Intro classes are in a more lit room, the music isn't as loud, and the coaches walk you through every exercise.
100%. ALIGN is designed to meet you where you are and challenge you from there. Our workouts can be modified to make movements more accessible or more challenging, so even experienced athletes can expect to work hard.
Yes. We recommend taking 1-3 Intro classes for all experience levels, even if you've been on a reformer before. Our style of training is very different from a traditional Pilates class, so Intro classes are designed to help you get familiar with our format, train your ear for spring loads, and walk through any modifications you may need.
In a Full50 class, the music is loud, the lights are low, and there aren't any exercise demos which can feel overwhelming for a first-timer. We call out 3 different spring loads for every exercise, and there are no breaks, so knowing the format ahead of time allows you to focus on your workout rather than trying to figure out what's happening. To get the most out of your first Full50, we highly recommend starting with an Intro!
Just yourself, water, a positive attitude, and grip socks. We provide everything else you need for your workout.
Nope! We provide the equipment needed for class. Just bring water, comfortable workout clothes, and yourself. Grip socks are recommended but are not required for mat classes.
For most people, 2–4 classes per week is a great place to start. Your ideal schedule depends on your goals, fitness level, and recovery. Consistency is more important than trying to do too much too quickly. Listen to your body and give your muscles time to recover.
Everyone’s body and fitness journey are different, but consistency makes the biggest difference. You may notice improvements in strength, endurance, posture, and how you feel within the first few weeks. Visible changes typically take longer and depend on your workout routine, nutrition, sleep, and overall lifestyle. Keep showing up—we’ll take care of the rest.
Every active, monthly-paying ALIGN member receives a buddy pass for each class they attend, allowing them to bring a friend who is new to ALIGN. To use your buddy pass, email aligncedarfalls@gmail.com with your friend’s first and last name, email address, phone number, and the class you’d like them to attend. We’ll take care of the rest!Buddy passes are available to active monthly-paying members only and are not included with class packs, 2-week unlimited memberships, or drop ins.
We ask that you cancel or reschedule your class at least 3 hours before class to avoid losing your credit or being charged a fee. You are able to do this through your portal on the Gymdesk app. If you cancel your class after the 3 hour window: Unlimited monthly members & 2 week unlimited members-1st offense: warning-2nd offense: $15 cancellation fee Drop ins, Class Packs, Monthly Members:-you will lose your class credit
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before your first class so you can check in, get familiar with the studio, meet your coach, and get set up. For returning clients, arriving about 10 minutes early is ideal.
For your safety and the experience of the class, late entry may not be permitted once class has started. If you arrive after the class has begun, your spot may be forfeited and your class may be treated as a late cancellation/no-show. We recommend arriving early so you have time to get settled.
Your safety is our priority. Our reformers and high-touch equipment are cleaned and sanitized between classes, and our studio is regularly cleaned throughout the day. We ask that every member help us keep the space clean by wiping down equipment after use and treating the studio with care.
Yes. Class credits are subject to the expiration date associated with the package or purchase. Be sure to check your account or the details of your specific package for the applicable expiration date.
A mock class is a practice class taught by one of our instructors-in-training. It allows our Jr. Coaches to practice teaching in a real class environment while receiving feedback and guidance from our training team. These classes help our instructors build confidence and become the best coaches they can be.
A co-teaching class is a class taught by two instructors. It gives an instructor-in-training the opportunity to practice teaching alongside an experienced ALIGN coach. You’ll get the same great workout while helping our coaches develop their skills!
We do not recommend new clients to try ALIGN while pregnant. Many current members are able to continue exercising during pregnancy, but every pregnancy is different. Before attending ALIGN while pregnant, please speak with your healthcare provider and let your coach know. Our instructors can provide appropriate modifications, but they cannot provide medical advice or determine whether exercise is safe for you.If you are experiencing complications or have been advised to avoid exercise, please follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations.
Yes, 16+ for regular classes. Anyone under 18 will need a parent or guardian to complete the required waiver.
Your safety comes first! If severe weather affects class, ALIGN will communicate any studio closures or schedule changes as soon as possible. If class is still running, our normal cancellation policy remains in effect. If you don’t feel comfortable traveling due to weather, please cancel your reservation at least 3 hours before class to avoid losing your credit.
For safety and insurance reasons, children who are not participating in class cannot be left unattended in the studio. We recommend arranging childcare before coming to class so you can fully focus on your workout.
We ask that cellphones remain on silent and stored away during class. Our classes are designed to be a distraction-free experience, so please step outside if you need to take an important call or respond to a message.
Yes! You’re welcome to film during class as long as it doesn’t distract you, your instructor, or other members. Please be mindful of those around you and keep filming to a minimum when it may interfere with the class experience.Important: You may not post or share any photo or video that includes another ALIGN member without their written consent. This applies to social media, stories, and any other public or private sharing.Want better lighting and a more content-friendly experience? Keep an eye out for our Content Classes, where everyone in the class has agreed to being filmed and you’ll have better lighting for your content.
